GO MITCH GO FOUNDATION GOLF TOURNAMENT- HELP SUPPORT A GREAT CAUSE
The Go Mitch Go Foundation is hosting their Second Annual Austin Golf Tournament on Friday, October 17, 2014 to benefit cancer research and families impacted by cancer.
The golf tournament is underwritten by Gulf Coast Business Credit (GCBC) and will be held at Onion Creek Golf Club located in Austin, Texas. Sponsorship opportunities ranging between $250 and $2,000 are available.
The Go Mitch Go Foundation (“GMG”) was founded in 2009 in memory of Mitchell Graham Whitaker, who died of Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia (ALL) in 2007 at the age of 10. Inspired by Mitchell’s passion for sports and his last words, “Keep Fighting!,” GMG’s mission is to raise money for critical blood cancer research and to support endurance athletes who fundraise as they train for marathons, triathlons, cycle tours and other endurance events.
GMG’s motto “Go Places, Get Fit, Do Good” represents their three-tiered program set in place to supports athletes in all stages of training for endurance sport events. Since 2009, the foundation has raised over $900,000 to fund blood cancer research and family care services through the support of their athlete fundraisers and donors around the world.
This year, GMG is working to fund a grant for the Koch Institute for Integrative Cancer Research at MIT, while continuing their support of other cancer fighting non-profits like the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, the American Cancer Society and Ryan’s Light.
